Gangs of Wasseypur 2 is a Hindi movie written and directed by Anurag Kashyap. The film is a sequel to the 2012 film Gangs of Wasseypur. It stars Mikaal Zulfiqar, Amit Sial, Tillotama Shome and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles. The film narrates the story of Wasseypur before partition and how it has been affected after partition which led to heavy bloodshed between different communities living there. The trailer was unveiled on 1 July 2015 by Kashyap on his Twitter account from Cannes Film Festival where he has been running for The Salesman which he also wrote and directed. It was released on 19 July 2015.According to Box Office India, the film's opening weekend (Friday - Monday) collections stood at ₹33.0 million (₹31.8 million net). One day collections stood at ₹7.4 million, which is ₹0.6 million less than its predecessor's total net collection of ₹10 million during the first day of its release in 2012. During the first weekend, the film collected a total of ₹34. 7 million from around 3,500 screens, ₹1.2 million from 450 screens and ₹1.5 million from 150 screens across India. The film collected a total of ₹10 million or 47% from Hindi markets during its first week at the domestic box office and collected a total of ₹35.2 million in its first week, which is an improvement to its predecessor's opening weekend gross of ₹33 million nett in 2012. The film collected a total of ₹98 million (₹74.3 million nett) during its entire run in cinemas worldwide. The music of "Gangs of Wasseypur 2" is composed by Sneha Khanwalkar, Swanand Kirkire, Neel Adhikari, Arko Pravo Mukherjee and Raj Kamal. The lyrics are penned by Varun Grover, Swanand Kirkire, Arko, Rana Mazumder and Anurag Kashyap. The song "Ehsaan" sung by Jubin Nautiyal finds its relevance in the story with the character of Chutney (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). The song "Aata Majhi Satakli" is a lavani number sung by Priya Bhatt, composed by Birju Maharaj and choreographed by Mayuri Upadhyay. The song "Gaddi" has been sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Sukhwinder Singh. The film garnered mixed reviews from critics.
